What is the USSD Daily Limit Indemnity?
The USSD Daily Limit Indemnity is a consent process that allows customers to increase their USSD daily transaction limit from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000 by accepting an indemnity agreement through the MoMo App.
Who can accept indemnity?
All MoMo customers, regardless of KYC tier (Tier 2, or Tier 3), are eligible to accept indemnity and increase their USSD daily transaction limit.
How will I know when I have reached my USSD limit?
When you reach the ₦100,000 USSD daily limit, you will receive an SMS containing a link that directs you to the MoMo App where you can review and accept the indemnity agreement.
What happens after I accept the indemnity?
Once you successfully accept indemnity and complete biometric verification, your USSD daily transaction limit will increase immediately from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000. A push notification and inbox message will also be sent to confirm the upgrade.
Do I need to sign the indemnity every time I exceed ₦100,000?
No. Indemnity is a one-time acceptance. Once signed, your account remains eligible for the ₦500,000 USSD daily limit without requiring further acceptance.
Where can I view or manage my indemnity status?
You can view your indemnity status in the MoMo App by navigating to My Account > Payments > Indemnity on Transfers > USSD Daily Limit Indemnity. Signed customers can also view the agreement details and signing date.
What happens if the indemnity agreement is updated?
If the indemnity terms are revised, previous acceptances become invalid. Customers will be notified and required to re-accept the updated agreement before continuing to enjoy the increased limit.
What is the maximum USSD daily transaction limit after accepting the indemnity?
The maximum USSD daily transaction limit becomes ₦500,000. Any transaction that causes the customer to exceed this limit will be declined by the system.
