Build, test, and publish your Mini App on MoMo

MoMo Mini Apps lets merchants and partners offer their services directly in the MoMo ecosystem, creating a seamless experience for customers to discover, launch, and pay within the MoMo App. Find out what you need to register, onboard, develop, test, approve, and publish a Mini App.

Lifecycle steps

1. Register your business with MoMo

Create an account and submit your business information. We’ll use this to validate your business profile and confirm if you’re eligible. This is what you’ll need to submit:

  • Registered business details.
  • Business owner or authorised representative information.
  • Identity documents.
  • Banking or settlement details.
  • Primary business and technical contact details.

2. Complete onboarding and compliance review

Once you’ve submitted your registration, we’ll conduct onboarding checks. These may include a commercial review, compliance validation, risk assessment, and agreement acceptance. High-risk cases will require a manual compliance review.

Once approved, you’ll receive access to documentation, technical guidance, and sandbox credentials where applicable.

3. Build your Mini App

Using the Mini App framework, design standards, and technical documentation, you’ll build your customer journey. During this stage, you’ll:

Follow MoMo UI/UX standards. Use approved navigation and interaction patterns. Integrate required payment or service APIs. Apply the required security, consent, and permission controls. Prepare test evidence and supporting documentation.

4. Test in the sandbox

Next, you’ll validate your Mini App in a sandbox or test environment before submission. Testing should confirm your Mini App works as expected across core journeys and supported devices. Testing must cover:

  • Successful transaction flow.
  • Failed transaction flow.
  • Timeout or network interruption.
  • Customer cancellation.
  • Insufficient funds or declined payment.
  • Error messaging and recovery.
  • Performance and loading behaviour.

5. Submit Mini App for review

Here we’ll validate technical readiness, UX consistency, compliance alignment, security requirements, and commercial readiness. Your submission must include:

  • Your Mini App build/package.
  • Functional overview.
  • UX screens or prototype.
  • Test results.
  • API integration details.
  • Error handling approach.
  • Support and escalation contacts.

6. Review, approval, and publishing

MoMo will review your Mini App across the required approval tracks. If there are changes, we’ll provide feedback for you to implement and then resubmit. Once approved, your Mini App will be published into the MoMo ecosystem.

Your Mini App is now available in the MoMo App, subject to market readiness and the approved launch plan.
